Clear N Smooth Skin Toning Cream recalled

The Department of Health and Children in Ireland has removed Clear N Smooth Skin Toning Cream with Vitamin E and Sunscreen from sale as a precautionary measure. Information on the label states that the product contains hydroquinone.

Hydroquinone is a bleaching agent and has been found to be toxic and carcinogenic to the skin. The product has the barcode number: 740939000299, on the four-ounce tub.

What you should do

If you have this product, please stop using it and contact the Medicines Unit at the Department of Health and Children switchboard on 01 635 4000.

The product has been removed from sale as the presence of hydroquinone is in breach of the Directive 76/768/EEC 1976.
